María (they/them) is a Nicaraguan artist based in NYC.
María enjoys utilizing many materials, colors and textures in both their animation and illustration works. They strive to exhibit an imperfect, tactile approach while drawing inspiration from their interpersonal relationships, natural surroundings and Latin-American heritage.
Their interests include weird film/animation, biking, electronic music and cooking traditional Nicaraguan recipes.
